La India celebra hoy el Día de la Independencia. Fiesta nacional que conmemora desde 1947 su liberación del Imperio Británico. Muchas de sus fiestas están ligadas a juegos y tradiciones con animales. Y sus museos poseen obras de temática taurina, como sucede en todas las naciones de la tierra. Y sus pintores actuales más renombrados como Chinmaya Br. también se inspiran en temática taurina.
